About Fido’s Pet Grooming & Hotel
Mobile Pet grooming - Pet grooming salon - Pet hotel
Located at 2260 US-281 BUS suit 18, Edinburg, TX 78539, Fido’s Pet Grooming & Hotel operates as a pet groomer serving Edinburg in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.

Edinburg is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Edinburg is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I've taken my dog here several times and was pleased with their work. I took my puppy there yesterday and I noticed once I got home that she couldn't open her eye. I thought maybe they got soap in here eye and it'll go away so I gave it some time. Not long after that she was at the emergency vet because her eye got progressively worse. Mind you she was perfectly fine when I dropped her off. Turns out they handed me my dog back with cornea damage and I'm having to give her medication every four hours due to an issue that happened here. The Vet told me it could have been from harsh chemical sprays, shampoo they use, scissors, other dog hair. Something they did or used caused my 8 month old puppy to have cornea damage. This should not have happened. I should be able to comfortably leave my dog there to get groomed. I am very disappointed that since left her there, she now has to suffer with a watery, discharge, red, and swollen eye.

We took our dog to Fido’s for her first trim, and it was one of the best grooming experiences. The team clearly cares about what they do and handled her with great attention and care. She came back looking amazing no nicks or issues, just a clean, beautiful groom. They also gave helpful advice for her coat and on how to maintain that fluffiness. We’ll definitely be taking her back!

I can’t say enough great things about Fido’s Grooming! Their customer service is always great, and I really appreciate that they accept walk-ins, it makes things so convenient. Most importantly, they treat Roofus with so much love and care. You can truly tell they enjoy what they do. When I drop him off, he’s comfortable and not scared at all, which says everything about the environment they create. Every time I pick him up, he walks out happy, and looking great. Another huge plus is their efficiency, they usually take about 2 hours, which is amazing compared to other groomers who take much longer. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a groomer who genuinely cares about your pet! 🐾

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Fido’s Pet Grooming. I picked up my golden doodle only to find his eye swollen and red — and no one even bothered to call me to inform me something was wrong. I actually had to call them first just to ask if my dogs were ready, which is already frustrating on its own. When I arrived, they casually told me about his eye like it wasn’t a big deal. They tried to blame it on my dog being “nervous” with the air dryer, but this goes far beyond normal nervousness. My dog has been coming here for a long time, so that excuse doesn’t make sense. What really made things worse is that they initially told me they would show me camera footage, then suddenly changed their story and said their cameras weren’t working. That felt very dishonest. Instead of taking accountability, I was given multiple excuses and felt like they were trying to shift the blame onto my dog. As a pet owner, that’s unacceptable. I trusted them with my dog’s safety, and they failed. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone who expects transparency and proper care for their pets.

I had such an amazing experience! They were kind enough to take my Pomeranian in without an appointment and were incredibly patient and gentle with her. She was clearly well taken care of, and she looked absolutely adorable after her trim. You can really tell they care about the dogs. I’ll definitely be coming back!
