Independent pet shops often carry raw and freeze-dried food and local brands, and many run a grooming salon or a self-service wash in the back; dog bakeries sell fresh treats and birthday cakes; aquarium and exotic pet stores serve fish, birds and reptiles; and feed stores sell bulk food, bedding and supplies for farm animals and horses.

An absolute disgrace of a pet store at 6201 W Saginaw Hwy. They sell malnourished, starved newborn reptiles, and frankly, they starve all their other animals as well—we noticed they don't even have actual pet food available there. The real humiliation happens when you communicate with their manager. In her emails, she continues to play dumb and actively mock clients. She literally redirects paying customers to a more expensive competitor simply because she doesn’t want to work and doesn't understand basic feeder sizes. She insists a 4–8 gram fuzzy is a 1–3 gram 'pinky'. Even a five-year-old can read standard weight charts, yet this incompetent person manages a store. I am shocked that customers have to fight this cruelty alone while dealing with their blatant rudeness. What is even worse is the ongoing jurisdictional ping-pong and absolute silence between local Ingham and Eaton county animal control departments, who hide behind automated filters. If you care about animal welfare, we need to flood higher oversight authorities with complaints until these local departments finally do their jobs. When I came in, the cashiers staged a cheap performance, pulling out the live feeder and acti

If you have a cat or dog, this place is great! They have SO much stuff. I am a bunny owner however, and the selection is minimal & most of the treat options they carry that are marketed for bunnies are actually very bad for them. Vitakraft & Wild Harvest have several items on the shelves & nearly none are safe. Hay & food options are also fairly limited, but they do have a few Oxbow options which is excellent. I just want a pet store that carries a variety of safe products for my bunnies.

Love Feeders! Always plenty of staff to help with questions and make sure the checkout experience isn't slow. They turned me onto my cat's new fav dry food, with much better ingredients. Could stand to have some better cat toys. I can't seem to find the old design of catnip mouse toys but that might be a manufacturing issue in general. Also have had some issues continuing to get the small/medium size of naturally fresh walnut cat litter. It has also been a nice change for my cat - keeps the smell down and seems to be friendliest for her paws.

I love shopping here so much! It is extremely hard to find a chicken free wet/dry food for our cat with allergies. They have such a wide variety that it make choosing what kind to pick up that month easier. ♡

The West Lansing store has the most amazing team. I have worked with Whitney and Mari for over two years, and they always go above and beyond to help me, answer my questions, and are so kind. I look forward every month just to go in and see them when I order. Whitney does an amazing job with delivery, as my back is bad so she makes sure to take care of me. Words really can't express how much I appreciate the two of them and the whole West Lansing team. Thank you!!!! This is review for service I received from the West Lansing store on February 6th. Due to the weather, they did not receive their shipment . I was out of whole corn and miss amazing Whitney drove all the way to the Mlk store two pick up two bags of my 8 bag order, just so the animals wouldn't go hungry. I will receive the balance when West Lansing gets their order on Monday. This goes beyond the scope of customer service. The kindness Whitney shows as she knows how important feeding the animals is to me. She deserves an award and a bonus for what she did. Thanks so much, Daniel.
