Very disappointed with Diana the manager. I love Liz, Damon and Janei. I have been taking my dog here for four years. After a serious health crisis I had my dog boarded there for 5 days and I received a late fee after picking up after a bath. 53$ extra charge. Very disappointing phone call with Diana the manager and I am hoping I get a callback from the owners. It’s too bad they treat their employees and their customers with such disdain. And yeah, at the same time, they would like their customers to review them and give them excellent remarks, kind of counter intuitive. Hoping the owners will call me soon.

OK... until it wasn't. I used Doggin Around for about a year, with decent service. Not the cleanest facility, but staff was generally pleasant. Right up to the day I picked up my dog with a 2 inch gash in his hind leg, deep enough to see the muscle. After a $700 vet visit I repeatedly asked what happened. I received no response, no investigation as to how my dog was injured. Not one call or communication to see if my dog was ok. Certainly no offer to help with the vet bill. The response demonstrated to me the facility is not safe to leave your pet. With no investigation and confirmation as to how my dog was injured and no expression of concern, my take away is they are more concerned with protecting themselves than the animals in their care. Do not recommend.

Was recommended a trainer who advertised herself as representing this facility. After 20 minutes she insisted my puppy needed a 3,000 intinsive program with 5 classes per week over 3 weeks. It's been 6 weeks and I had to fire her before even finishing our last 3 sessions. She has very verbally aggressive towards the humans and rarely addressed the dog at all. The majority of seasons were spend with her arguing against our requests and the dog has no specific lesson we can say he learned from her. She did however put leashes on the ground tell me to pick it up and made me spend multiple seasons practice hoping a leash under vs overhand while the dog did its own thing. When we asked he to change approaches, Ellen spent 35 minutes ( ten minutes longer than the 200 dollar sessions) she stood there arguing with me and providing zero services. I cannot recommend enough against using the trainer on their website

Jennifer was very friendly and helpful making sure our pup was prepared to spend her initial assessment time at Doggin Around Daycare, we were able to first tour the facility, then scheduled our visit a couple days later. All went smoothly, and we were given a verbal report on our pups time there. Will definitely return when in Ventura again!

Let me start by saying that my dog is adopted and has severe separation anxiety and strangers anxiety. Now that my husband and I started working full time, we had to find a daycare for our dog and we couldn't be happier to have found Doggin Around. They assess your dog and find him the best possible group to play and spend his day according to his personality and his needs. Our dog now LOVES to come here! Every morning when I grab the lunch box he knows we are coming and he gets so excited, and when we get there he will start jumping and wining if they don't open the door fast! In the afternoon when we pick him up he is happy and tired after a day of play! He also loves the staff! Never we have seen our dog wagging his tail and letting other people pet him... this has been THE BEST place for our dog to relax and spend his day! The staff is very nice, they accommodate to your schedule as much as possible, the location is big and clean and they treat your dog like you would. Prices are affordable as well. I recommend this place 100%!!!
