Doggie Zen Den

This review is long overdue, as our 8 yo Rottweiler has been boarded and going to daycare at DZD since he was a puppy! We were out of town for the July 4th weekend, and were alerted by nicole the owner that Valor was having an emergency (vomiting/bloody diarrhea). She contacted her friend, a local vet—who was willing to pick Valor up (at 10:30pm!) and bring him to her house for iv fluids/care/observation until he was better. Not only was a staff member willing to stay with him after hours until the vet arrived, but the referral to this WONDERFUL vet probably saved us a LOT of money had he gone to the emergency vet hospital. And now that wonderful vet is our new vet!!!! The staff and owner at DZD are amazing, caring people who truly love our fur babies and love their jobs! DZD is Valors “second home”— and he adores them all!!!!!

If you're looking for a dog daycare you can truly trust, Doggie Zen Den is it. I've never felt this comfortable consistently leaving my dog anywhere else. From the moment you walk through the door, everyone is warm, welcoming, and genuinely seems to love what they do. That positive energy makes all the difference. One of my favorite things is that they regularly post photos throughout the day, so I get to see my pup having the best time. Every time I'm there, I also notice staff members out in the yard interacting with the dogs—not just supervising them, but actually playing with them. It says a lot about how much they care. When I pick my dog up, he's completely exhausted in the best way possible. As someone who works long hours, it gives me so much peace of mind knowing he's spending his day getting exercise, attention, affection, and plenty of playtime instead of sitting at home alone. Doggie Zen Den has made me feel like I'm dropping my dog off with people who genuinely care, and that's priceless. Highly recommend!

Today I brought my Bichon Frise to Doggy Zen Den for grooming. When I came to pick up my dog, the grooming fee was $100 + $8.25 tax = $108.25. The staff asked me to provide my complete credit card information to be manually entered into their computer, including the CVV security code on the back of the card. For security reasons, I declined. I then offered to pay with cash — they refused. I asked to pay via POS card reader — they said they don't have one. I offered to pay by check — refused. PayPal — also refused. I took my dog home and they said they would contact the owner to see if they could accept a check. Is this normal business practice for a pet grooming shop? I have never encountered anything like this. I was willing to pay and offered multiple payment methods, all of which were rejected. I am still waiting to hear back from the owner."

Carlos loves his time here. Everyone’s so friendly. And my pup is always exited to go in.

We’ve been taking our timid but energetic rescue puppy here for a year. He has met friends and improved so much in socialization. He looks forward to his weekly play dates as much as our senior dog at home is glad to have a break😉. All the staff have been very gentle and understanding. Scheduling days and drop off/pick up are a breeze. Bulk pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommend.
