Garden City is in Idaho, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Garden City follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Seems almost impossible to get a five star review from anyone these days, but for sure, Dog Retreat Center, has earn it. The owner D'Andra has really made her dream come true with integrity and compassion. We have two dogs that go to the daycare twice a week and then stay when we are out of town. We have tried a couple of different training facilities and by far, this is the best. We have one dog that is reactive and we were told she was aggressive by another center and was trained to use a muzzle. Within two days of a nine day stay, she was trained off the muzzle, evaluated and we were trained how to see the signs when she is stressed and she has done great. She has made friends at the daycare and really enjoys going. They have allowed her to be the loving dog she is. Our other dog is a social butterfly and has made lots of friends in the rowdy yard. Our dogs hate to travel in the car for long periods so this gives us relief that they are in good hands. They even send of pictures of how much fun they are having so we don't have to worry. I refer everyone I know to this center. They are loving, caring and very attentive. We will use them as long as we have dogs. Thank you Dog Retre

I was referred to Dog Center Retreat for my reactive rottie mix, Hela. We took advantage of the 2 week training/daycare course in end of February/early March. Tiff is a fantastic trainer and I could see Hela developed a relationship with her (as opposed to other trainers we've been to). I appreciate their training methods and the philosophy behind it. One of the issues I wanted to tackle with training is Hela's reaction to meeting new dogs off-leash. While Hela has never had a negative experience with other dogs, she usually meets new dogs with barking, lunging, chasing, and occasionally snapping. We are still working through these issues and taking advantage of DRC'S weekly training courses. Just last night, I had 4 different owners approach me at our dog bar/park and comment they see the positive difference in her behavior. This made my heart so happy!! Thank you, DRC team, for helping Hela and her humans to better handle her unique quirks.

Adopted a rowdy girl from the shelter and reached out to DRC before I even picked her up! It was after hours yet D’Andra got back to me immediately. She gave me all kinds of information! I took my dog there for an initial evaluation, which she ended up doing 10 days of daycare and train. It was money well spent!!!! My dog has become much more respectful to me and other dogs. She listens much better, without even having to use words! All body language and she follows it. They invite you in and show you what they’ve been learning and teach you as the parent, how to do it all with your dog! I can’t say enough good things about this place and all the employees!

Seriously worth every penny. Best Place with the Best People! I was nervous that my stubborn 2year old pit (who I just rescued a few months before) was stuck in certain behaviors that wasn't working. With the help of DRC not only did my girl learn and grow but I GAINED so much knowledge. Helped me be a better leader for her and our relationship has never been better. My dog and I have this new respect for eachother. Thank you Savanah and Tiff!! And of course Thank you d'Andra.

Do not hesitate to check this place out. We had a very unruly eight month-old 70 pound puppy. What a remarkable transformation in just a five day program with the Dog Retreat Center. He can now walk on a leash without distraction, obeys on command, and is such a pleasure compared to how he used to be. A shout out to Savannah who is his trainer. She really helped us to understand our dog so much better. We highly recommend the Dog Retreat Center for training, daycare, and boarding.
