About Discount Pets

Discount Pets is one of the pet groomers listed in Santa Ana, California. The business is registered at 1132 W 1st St, Santa Ana, CA 92703; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip.

Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–2:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Discount Pets at (714) 714-0475; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 36 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pet groomers in Santa Ana.

Santa Ana is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Santa Ana is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Absolutely outstanding experience at Discount Pet Grooming in Santa Ana! I brought my dog Chippy (1 year, 3 months) for his very first grooming, and Ozzy went above and beyond. The trim was flawless, the grooming was perfect, and Chippy came out looking incredible and happy. You can truly feel how much they care about the pets. 100% recommend!

By far, THE best most classiest groomer I’ve had the pleasure of coming across. We started taking our girls there in December and have had stellar service since. We turned our fam and friends onto it and everyone is overjoyed with the team and outcome. Thank you from Keiko and Phoenix!

This place is a hidden gem in Santa Ana. It is disguised as an old house without a store front, and without any obvious signage. I only took my Maltipoo here because of the reviews that I had read online. There prices are extremely low, so I thought that I would check it out. I was told to park in the back lot and call when I arrive. I was very skeptical to leave my dog because it seemed more like an abandoned house than a dog groomer. A very friendly Hispanic woman came out to greet us, saying she had been there for five years. I asked if I could go inside and check out behind the scenes. After seeing the operation, other well kept dogs waiting in large crates, and another guy who was grooming I decided to leave Sofie. Estimated pick up time was 11/2 hours, and she was ready on time. I was very pleased with how Sofie was groomed. I will be bringing her back.

This grooming shop offers very reasonable prices. it’s hard to find grooming services at this rate these days. Just keep in mind that it's cash only. The grooming quality seems above average. For the price, it's definitely not bad. As long as my dog comes home safe and without any injuries, I don’t mind if the haircut is a little less detailed. They trim the nails well and take good care of the basics like ears and anal glands.
