I had an incredible experience at Cynthea’s Spa! We were visiting in town for vacation, and I scheduled an appointment at this location after researching and reading reviews. I received a massage, exfoliation, and body wrap treatment (one of their combo packages) and loved every moment. Cynthea was so calming, informative and caring. She made me feel so comfortable and welcome. Her facial / head / scalp massage routine was one of the best I’ve ever experienced and she shared tips with me to alleviate some of the tension in my face muscles. She completed all aspects of my treatment with such care and attention to detail, and I look forward to scheduling another service the next time we’re in town. I’m most accustomed to a traditional resort spa experience (meaning a spa that includes a women’s locker room where you undress to get in your robe, one with sauna, showers, hair dryers, etc to have the opportunity to fully freshen up after) and although I think there’s some opportunity to enhance the welcome / intro experience, I didn’t mind not having my traditional amenities. You walk through part of a office type building to get back to the actual spa area (separate from the store) s

I felt very exposed and uncomfortable during my massage. There was minimal effort to keep my body covered appropriately and felt on display many times. At no point was I asked if there were areas I wanted more attention, to be avoided, or uncomfortable being touched. The room wasn’t warm to the point that when I wasn’t under the blanket I was waiting for that section to be done. It seems this place is good for waxing (I can’t personally attested, but reviews dictate) but unfortunately I would not recommend a massage here until more work is done. The workers and owners all seemed like genuinely nice and good people, but personally I feel like they are out of their element giving massages. I’m not sure how to respond to you Cynthia, I can only edit my review, but I had a couples massage April 25th at 10am.

I had a wonderful experience with Cynthia & Shahla at Cynthia’s Spa Vermont 💖 they both made me feel very comfortable & provided top notch professional services. The new location is deceptively large!! And what a GREAT new location, with easy parking- across from city hall park downtown Burlington (just a few down from American Flatbread)

Came in on Saturday for a couples massage. We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome by Cynthea & the whole staff. Jamie and Larry were our masseuse’s and we had a wonderful experience. The entire 90 minutes was beyond relaxing. They did a great job communicating our needs for the massage. The lounge area was very inviting and peaceful. Anyone looking for spa treatments in VT should 100% check out Cynthea’s Spa in downtown burly.
