Cozy Bear Grooming

The BEST groomer between Southern California and Indianapolis! My shy boy loves his groomer, and she truly does a beautiful job on both. (Photos taken quickly, after drinking water once home…beards for both are perfect, when dry!)

Our dog hates the groomers and is notorious for not allowing them to blow dry them. Alyssa is calm and understands dog behavior very well. She knows the fine line between our dog testing its boundaries and not over doing it either. Aside from being able to work through his anxiety she does a great job! I’m very particular about my dogs groom and she her work is so beautifully done. His coat is even, grows out beautifully, and he smells great for multiple days. Overall, highly skilled groomer and worth every penny 🩵

Took our puppy to Alyssa for his first grooming appointment. She is very detailed and it’s obvious she is very experienced. I love the follow up text she sends about how the session went. So glad she’s at this new location in Seal beach!

I moved to Seal Beach in March because of a family illness. I’ve been unable to find a groomer willing to groom my senior dog in all this time. He’s a Bichon Poodle mix & he’ll be 17 on November 25th. I did have my 6 year old poodle groomed once and it was basically just a bath. My old boy hasn’t been groomed since February so he was quite matted. They did an excellent job and my boys look beautiful. It is a bit on the higher end but that could be California pricing and they were a lot of work. She spent a lot of time with them. Plus I noticed they weren’t stressed out and shaking like they always do upon arrival at every grooming appointment. I’m very happy and it was worth it to me. Plus they called me during the grooming process to update and ask questions. That’s a first for me and I found it comforting and considerate.

Alyssa did an absolutely incredible job with my 11-year-old border collie, Little Pup! Border collies have very specific coat needs, and Alyssa came prepared with the patience, experience, and skill to handle it beautifully. The salon is clean, cute, and I love that Alyssa does all parts of the grooming process herself. She spent a full 3 hours on a complete overhaul including a wash, blueberry facial mask, blow dry, and a shaping shave, and the results were stunning. Little Pup looks like a puppy again! What stood out most was how professional, kind, and attentive Alyssa was throughout the whole process, making sure it was a positive first grooming experience for Little Pup. The little pink bow at the end was such a sweet touch! We are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend! Including a before picture as well as several after photos!
