Lancaster is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Lancaster follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This was one of the worst barbershop experiences I’ve ever had. The haircut was so bad it caused actual physical pain. The barber’s hands were shaking the entire time, my haircut came out badly uneven, and he cut my face multiple times while shaving my beard. I ended up with painful razor burn and had to tell him to stop before he made it worse. He also kept pushing my head back into the chair, which made the whole experience even more uncomfortable. What made it even more frustrating was the wait. They had a sign-in book, but somehow three people who came in after me got served before I did. That is completely unprofessional. I almost never leave negative reviews, but this place deserves one. I would not go back even if they offered me free haircuts. Save yourself the pain, frustration, and disappointment, and go somewhere else.

Highly Unprofessional and Hostile Environment This was easily the most unprofessional and distressing experience I have ever had at a business. We arrived with our three children nearly two hours before closing, requesting only basic haircuts, yet we were met with immediate hostility. Here is what happened: A younger barber (who apparently didn't even work there, just stepped in to "help") rushed through the first child's cut with zero care. He then proceeded to have a literal tantrum—cursing and throwing his tools on the floor directly in front of my children—before storming out. We were surprised. It was surreal. Maybe we are in prank show? Nope. it was 100% real. After he left, pretty much refused even to have a conversation with us, so we could apologize if we did something wrong, the older staff member blamed us for showing up after the students had left (they leave in a set time I assume). Not sure why they stay open after that time … It is absurd to penalize a customer for arriving during posted business hours. If they are open, they better be prepared to provide service. Again: they could say no. Or just close the doors. My third child (6 yr old) never even received his

Another outstanding experience, don’t let the price scare you away, thinking the worst. The camaraderie of the staff is outstanding, offering each praise and tweaks as deserved. That closeness comes thru to you as a client as your barber interacts with you to to find out the cut that you seek. These students are learning skills that will serve them for the rest of their careers.

Customer Injustice a year ago

I called before coming here to find out what time they close and what time they take the last person for a haircut, i was told they close at 7 pm. Today, the last person for a haircut around 6 pm. I drove 35 minutes out of my way to come here for that a haircut, and i paid for the parking meter, I arrived around 5 pm. And the inside clicking here with the door Locked and the sign turned around saying they're closed, they will not even look at the door when i'm knocking, this is a totally unprofessional and disrespectful establishment and people should realize that they will lie to you on the phone and ignore you to your face of the door, what a disgrace and the sorry excuse for a barber school.

I came back to lancaster about a year ago with the intention if shopping barber schools in the area. A dear friend of mine brought me directly to Champ's Barber School! The all around experience has been great. I have made some life long connections and despite some bumps in the road... "Covid" the instructor, owner, and administration has made my time at school amazing. The staff did a great job of putting together online learning while on lock down due to the pandemic, and while at school the actual time I have spent on the floor I managed to learn how to cut hair well. I look forward to going out into the barbering community and making my mark. I feel prepared for my boards and and more than prepared for my waiting station @ Baron Barbers in Manhiem PA. Thank you and hats off to all the staff and students @ Champ's
