I got my massage with Ms. Candy who was so attentive to my preferences in environment setting as well as pressures. She didn’t talk too much or too little. She made me feel very comfortable. It was so great! I got a shampoo, haircut, style and pedicure with Layla. She talked me through the haircut and why she thought it would be a good fit for me and how it would lay and be able to be styled. I was nervous due to the texture of my hair and face shape but she was knowledgeable in why it would work for me. It came out so much better than I could have expected! My favorite part of a pedicure is the attention to detail and massage, rather than rushing a client out as long as the polish looks good. She took her time and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. The prices are insane. It’s feasible for anyone to get to go and have a spa day!

I recently completed the Barber Program at Champions Academy, and I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. From my very first interaction with the school, I was welcomed with open arms, genuine kindness, and a sense of humor that immediately made me feel at home. What initially drew me to Champions Academy was the transparency and visibility they provided—from their website to the campus tour, everything was exactly as advertised. There were no surprises, just honest people who were passionate about helping students succeed. Throughout my time in the program, I gained invaluable hands-on experience under the guidance of knowledgeable, professional educators who have years of experience in the industry. If I could give more stars I would. The school is set up in what was an old church and it has a beautiful little court yard. Nice to relax before or after your appointment. Christina was so friendly and professional. Prior, I had informed her that I was using the hair removal as a test run. I’d had bad experiences in Waco. So when I arrived I got a tour of the school. From the moment I stepped into the Academy it felt like walking into a professional Day Spa. I had the sugar hair removal which I’d never had before. Life long wax lady. I loved it and my beautician was amazing. So good I’ve booked another appointment. Also having the massage next week. The rooms are beautifully decorated and relaxing, just what you want for facials or massage. Seriously the environment and service was just as good as I’ve had in any Spa at a fraction of the cost. Plus you get to help students learning and get their hours needed to complete the course and graduate. Well done Christina you run a top notch school. I highly recommend Champions Academy.

I had such an amazing experience attending cosmetology school here! From day one, the environment was welcoming, encouraging, and truly focused on helping students succeed. The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and always took the time to make sure we fully understood both the hands-on and classroom portions of the program. Not only did I gain confidence behind the chair, but I also learned so much about professionalism, client care, techniques, and building a successful career in this industry. The instructors genuinely wanted to see every student grow and succeed, and their guidance made such a huge difference throughout my journey. I felt more than prepared when it came time to take both my written and practical state board exams, and I’m so thankful for the education and support I received throughout the program. I have to give a huge shout out to Isaiah at Champions Barber and Beauty Academy. He gave me one of the most thoughtful cuts I have ever had. Honestly he knew more about hair theory and consulted better than the seasoned barbers I usually find on Booksy. It is also clear that the educators here are top tier. I watched how they guided the students and they really know their stuff. They are raising up real pros here because they actually take the time to teach the mechanics properly. Isaiah is proof of that exceptional training. This place is easily the best in Waco.
