We had been going to Allegheny spay and neuter in clearfield forever we absolutely love them. But we moved to state college and needed to establish care for our four dogs . Our foxhound briar was an NBR rescue and this is the vet they used so we knew it would be good. This year briar started limping and it turned out to be something more than they could handle. Dr. Calvert referred us to Pittsburgh we went and they figured out it was a tumor. This was earlier this month. She has been nothing short of amazing from emailing us to let us know what she recommends and just have been a huge support. This past Tuesday July 21 we had to send briar over the rainbow bridge. My husband was in the room and I couldn’t do it. It upset Dr. Calvert cause briar was four. We received a card from the practice and the fact she took the time to write personally about briar tells me enough also they didn’t make us pay that day. They said pay when you can. Our other three beagles are now established. Absolutely thrilled with this vet

We should have stopped coming here earlier but I wanted to see my dog’s health issue through before switching. At this point, my sense is that other offices would have diagnosed and treated the underlying issue much faster and more effectively. I would recommend people go to a different provider if you’re new to the area. Edited to respond to their note: - my dog had a serious issue that they did not communicate to me until after I called. - they sent over the wrong blood work after advising me to take my dog to the pet hospital. Their response doesn’t address their issue which I think were serious oversights. People new to the area should go elsewhere. Here are my general issues/recent experiences. 1. Staff member Megan B was not helpful when I called. She kept saying she did not understand the chart she was looking at because she wasn’t in the office when my dog came in. Apparently because she wasn’t in the office it made reading and understanding the information in my dog’s chart very difficult. She is their phone vet technician who you are supposed to speak with on any follow up issues. 2. Apparently the office had some blood work results that indicated a serious problem

Family has been going to Centere animal hospital for many years. All of our dogs, cats, bunny and hamsters have been provided with amazing care. A few days ago I got my recently adopted Chihuahua spayed by Dr. Smart, and she did an incredible job with the incision and sutures. She answered all questions in detail and is very knowledgeable. My pup is healing well and back to her normal self within a day. We have also occasionally brought our pets to their affiliated emergency room at CP vets and they provide amazing care as well. Thank you for taking such great care of our animals.

Our pup was referred by our vet to Centre Animal Hospital for an ultrasound. Every professional at this hospital was so incredibly kind and helpful. They made sure to meet their new patient and help him be at ease even though the vet makes him nervous. They even showed knowledge of his breed and their demeanor which was so refreshing! (Shibas are truly one of a kind ❤️) We had the time to thoroughly explain his symptoms prior to the ultrasound, we were able to ask questions, and they were attentive to all of my thoughts in regards to what could be causing his symptoms. After his ultrasound, we were able to ask further questions and received suggestions on next steps regardless of our pup not having been a prior patient, which was very thoughtful. We never felt rushed or that we were an inconvenience at any point. The hour drive to visit was very much worth it with the level of care that was provided, thank you all so much ❤️

I love Dr. Kim, she is so good with my best friend, Jenny !! I feel very confident in her care for Jen. She takes her time with us and explains everything. She has done research on different products and recommended supplements to help with Jenny. Jen gets very nervous at any Vet office, but at Centre Animal Hospital she seems happy to be there and looks forward to seeing everyone !! And the staff is so great with Jen while we are in the waiting area, as Jen loves and demands attention, and they give it to her. And we never have a long wait, we are seen within a few minutes of arriving. Also I do not feel a price gouging here.. I think the rates are very reasonable and they truly care for the pets.
