About Cat Clinic of Norman

The mission of the Cat Hospital is to provide progressive, evidence-based medicine for cats in a comfortable, professional environment and to educate cat owners about feline health and wellness issues. Our goal is exceptional, rather than adequate health for our patients. All cats at The Cat Hospital are to be treated as you would treat your own beloved pet.

Located at 1000 E Alameda St Apt 122, Norman, OK 73071, Cat Clinic of Norman operates as a veterinarian serving Norman in Oklahoma. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as animal hospital, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Vets and pet-health businesses handle what a groomer cannot. General veterinarians and animal hospitals do checkups, vaccinations, dental cleanings, spaying and neutering and sick visits; emergency and 24-hour vets treat injuries and sudden illness at night and on weekends; mobile vets come to the house; rehab centers offer physical therapy, hydrotherapy and acupuncture; and pet pharmacies fill prescriptions and sell prescription diets. Groomers often spot skin problems, ear infections, lumps or overgrown nails first and will suggest a vet visit.

The business lists hours on 4 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–7 pm. Note that it does not open on Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (405) 307-8606. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is normancathospital.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 117 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded veterinarians in Norman.

Norman is in Oklahoma, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Norman is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Oklahoma's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Dr. Edwards spent almost an hour with us. I went to her for a second opinion. She answered all my questions, examined my cat, and gave me good advice. I am very appreciative.

Dr. Edward’s is truly an amazing human. My cat Dicky is struggling with kidney disease and I am a very worried cat mom. She spends so much of her time explaining things to me and answering my 100s of questions. I worry so often I am not doing enough for my baby and she reassures me every time that I am doing everything right. I’m so thankful that we found her. Her staff is also the best ever! Thank you Dr. E! Keep being awesome 👏

I was very nervous about visiting a new vet for my cat, but I had an absolutely amazing experience at the Cat Clinic of Norman!! Every staff member made me feel so comfortable, addressed all of my concerns with my cat, answered my questions clearly, and I felt very heard throughout the entire process. It is clear they care deeply about every single cat that comes into the clinic and I would never want to go anywhere else. Very clean and positive environment and I feel confident that all of the aspects of my cat’s health are getting addressed!

This is truly the best veterinary care you will find for cats, period. I feel both happy and incredibly lucky to have discovered this clinic and Dr. Edwards here in Norman. My only regret is not finding it sooner, especially last year when I was losing my beloved Ivan-cat to cancer. In June, we rescued an extremely sick, tiny snowshoe kitten. Despite multiple vet visits and medications elsewhere, he just wasn’t improving. Another professional recommended Dr. Edwards, and I am so grateful they did. From the very first appointment, she immediately recognized the underlying issue (an extremely rare condition at that) and knew exactly how to treat it. Because of her, our kitten now has a genuine second chance at life. He’s healthy, playful, happy, and finally knows what it’s like to be a cat and also to be loved and part of our family. We also have a 15-year-old tortie with arthritis who is moving so much better thanks to a new treatment offered here. She’s even jumping on the couch and bed again and wants to snuggle, two things she had stopped doing because of her pain. She is even playing since getting her treatments. Everyone here—from the front desk to the techs to Dr. Edwards—i

The level of care here is awesome, from the warm greeting the receptionist gives you to the vet tech that does the intake. Dr. Edward's and her staff are top-notch professionals who are compassionate with your fur-baby. We noticed changes in behaviors in our dear Ariel (15 years old). So we took her to the Emergency Referral Center since it was after hours, and the Cat Clinic was closed. The fine folks here discovered she had terminal cancer and to prepare ourselves for saying our goodbyes. I wanted a second opinion, so I called the Cat Clinic, and they were able to squeeze us in. After numerous tests, Dr. Edward's concurred with the diagnosis. We were devastated. She took great care in our situation and placed Ariel on Home Hospice care. When we had the arduous task of letting our Ariel go, she was there for us. Dr. Edward's guided us every step of the way. With her guidance, we were able to have Ariel in our presence for a little over two weeks. Our Ariel was treated with dignity and respect upon her passing. It was a tremendously sad day that day, and they gave us the time needed to grieve. If you are looking for a great vet, look no farther than here. You won't b
