Located at 909 W March Ln, Stockton, CA 95207, Carter's Pet Mart Inc operates as a pet groomer serving Stockton in California. Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.

I came into Carter’s PetSmart today to purchase hay for my pet rats. I walked around to look at all of the animals, including the reptile section. What I saw was deeply disturbing. There was a live pinky rat, a baby rat whose eyes weren’t even open yet crawling around inside one of the snake enclosures unattended. I understand that snakes need to eat, and I have no issue with reptiles being fed appropriately. However, in my experience, the handler presents the prey directly to the snake or closely supervises the feeding. I have never seen someone leave a defenseless baby rat wandering around an enclosure by itself. Regardless of whether someone owns rodents or reptiles, watching a helpless newborn animal crawl around while waiting to be eaten is incredibly upsetting. It felt unnecessary and inhumane. After leaving the store, I called to express my concerns. Instead of listening, the employee I spoke with responded in a rude, dismissive tone, asking, “Do you suggest we feed them in private?” I explained that my concern wasn’t that the snake was being fed, it was that the feeding cart and enclosure appeared to be unattended for an extended period. I had been standing in that area

I went for the first time to buy some materials for my recently rescued juvenile red ear slider turtle and I was very impressed by the prices of the items! I love how the store looks and the vast variety of items! I will definitely shop here again whenever I need stuff!

I visited this store for the first time on Friday with my mom, and unfortunately it was a very uncomfortable experience. I drove 45 minutes specifically to find Stella & Chewy’s stew, which is the only brand my dogs eat. I was actually really excited at first—the store is big and has a great selection. However, almost immediately after walking in, I got the feeling that we were being watched. At first I tried to ignore it, but it quickly became obvious that multiple employees were following us around, pretending to stock shelves while staying close to us the entire time. I’ve worked in asset protection before, so I can recognize that kind of behavior. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable and anxious, especially since I already deal with social anxiety. At one point I even told my mom I wanted to leave because it felt like they thought we were stealing, but we stayed since we didn’t drive that far for nothing. When we finally checked out and were leaving, several employees stood near the entrance just staring at us, which made the situation even worse. I’ve never felt so judged and unwelcome in a store before. What should have been a positive first visit turned into a stressf

Love the store Carters so much, have gotten animals from them and love their wide selection. Do not like Trevor in the fish department, he’s sold me sick fish that gave my whole tank ich. Time passes and I had went back to ask for terrarium plants and he sold me plants in the aquatics tanks telling me that they would be fine in my frog tank. Called the next day to ask him about why they were wilting and made me feel dumb telling me well yeah they’re supposed to be in fish tanks.

My favorite pet store. All of my critters came from here so far. 3 Tarantulas,4 scorpions and a centipede! This store is ALWAYS: CLEAN, ORGANIZED, LOTS OF EMPLOYEES WHICH ALSO BRINGS LOTS OF HELP. THEY WILL HELP U WITH ANYTHING U NEED. THIS WHOLE STORE BRINGS GOOD VIBES. WATCH OUT FOR the vagrants. They are everywhere in this area but usually not too much at this store, but don't trust it.
