Glastonbury is in Connecticut, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Glastonbury is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Connecticut's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Excellent kennel and daycare, they truly care about your dog and follow all your instructions. The daycare is offered when boarding and it is essential to my dogs happiness during that time. He always runs in happy to be there and runs out to meet us at the end whether for daycare or boarding.

I explained my dog was traumatized from the first day at a 3 week board & training. She was starved neglected and very sick when I picked her up and now was very anxious. She’ll be great here they said but every little thing she did, she was punished and I witnessed on their video cam pushing her on her head, yanking her out of the court yard and dragging her out to be locked in a kennel. It’s a horrible place with three huge court yards but they keep nearly 80 dogs in one court yard even the small dogs! The staff are rude, inconsiderate & have no compassion or professionalism! This place is beautiful on paper and when you see it but they are fooling all the dog parents! No facility should have dozens and dozens of dogs in one court yard! My dog went there to play and instead of doggy day care I payed for day boarding! She trembled every time I took her but I payed for a month so I took her only some days! She was treated awful and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! I didn’t even get a sorry it didn’t work out nothing but bye so I answered Good Riddance! Worse place Ever!!

I had to board my cat (Luna) during an extended vacation. I had a bit of anxiety leaving my cat at a facility, especially one that handles so many dogs. Staff at drop-off and pick-up were all very kind and professional, which definitely eased the stress. I’m mostly impressed with how well my anxious cat did at this facility - I swear she came back calmer and nicer! And BONUS!!! She even smelled great! I am so thankful - the staff definitely care about every animal present. I’m grateful to have a facility that can take great care of my Luna instead of trusting a stranger in my home - especially with the option to have you all provide food & litter - amazing value and peace of mind. Will be trusting you all going forward if I ever have any long vacations come up. THANK YOU ALL!

My dog is special. The staff will probably know which dog I refer to just based on that. But she is loved, cared for, and understood at Candlewick Kennels. When she arrives home, I can tell she had real attention and fun. Trust me, some daycares... she would come home and I knew she was bored. But not at Candlewick! The staff are incredibly friendly and thoughtful. I drive an extra twenty minutes a day even though there are closer dog daycares just because this one is home for my dog, and home is worth the time. Thanks for making my life easier.

Candlewick Kennels has been amazing with all of my dogs. I loved boarding my dog, Brady, knowing that he would get snuggles and great walks in their wooded, fenced enclosure. And Shianne is a treasure with her calm kindness as she reassures my recent anxious rescue, Beau, before their grooming sessions. Beau is growing in confidence and happily greets his new friend for his doggie spa time. I have complete confidence in the staff at Candlewick Kennels and HIGHLY recommend them.
