Buckeye K9

Kodak had a wonderful time at Buckeye K9! This was my first time boarding him since I moved to OH so I was nervous about finding a new boarding/grooming facility capable of handling a dog of his size and nature. He is dog aggressive and hates having his nails trimmed, but they were able to handle him regardless and gave him the best bath he’s ever gotten! A lot of pet facilities don’t take aggressive dogs, so I was very grateful that this place was open to caring for all kinds of dogs. They were even able to clip his nails which I know is no easy feat. Now I can go on trips fear free knowing he will be properly cared for while I’m gone. Thank you to Buckeye K9!

I brought my German Shepherd in today for an evaluation, and I couldn't be more impressed. My dog is extremely protective of me and has not done well during previous training evaluations and I almost gave up on finding a trainer. Today was completely different. Mark was the first man my dog has ever shown very minimal reactivity toward. He even allowed Mark to remove his muzzle and pet him without a single reaction. My boy also encountered a few kennel technicians and remained calm the entire time. As someone who treats my dog like family, leaving him with strangers has always been a huge fear of mine and made me literally sick just thinking about it, he’s my baby. After today's evaluation, I left feeling confident, relieved, and excited for what's ahead. The energy, patience, and professionalism with Mark was truly amazing. Lori was very responsive and on top of everything to get him set up and very sweet. We haven't even started training yet, and I already highly recommend them! My boy is officially signed up to start his training! Added pic for cuteness 🙂

The entire team has my heartfelt gratitude for giving my dog a chance when others would not. Our experience with the board-and-train program was so positive that we didn't hesitate to choose Buckeye K9 again for boarding while we were on vacation. Hanley was absolutely amazing! Without her attention and care, we may never have discovered that our dog's food contained ingredients he was allergic to. Rather than waiting for us to return home to make a change, the team went above and beyond by allowing us to have new food delivered and immediately began transitioning him to it. Knowing that my dog was somewhere he genuinely enjoys being, surrounded by people who truly care about him, gave me tremendous peace of mind and allowed me to fully relax during our trip. Thank you again to the entire Buckeye K9 team for everything you do. Your dedication, compassion, and commitment to the dogs in your care mean more than words can express.

I love Buckeye K9. I’ve been boarding my dog there for a few years now after moving from Chicago. I did plenty of research on a facility that could handle a >100 lb German shepherd dog. They have exceeded my expectations. Hanley especially has been amazing to work with and made me feel comfortable from day one. Also, I recently tried their grooming services and think it’s the best he’s ever looked. I’m not sure who the groomer was but they did great! Can’t recommend enough!

This place is the best. My dog loves coming here and get excited when we show up. I trust the staff and they always are so excited to see my boy. They feel like friends when you go in. I won't put my pup anywhere else.
