Called to report a stray cat problem in my area and was told to call another number to call the help desk for assistance. Dogs running loose throughout the city and it seems like nothing is being done. I was able to catch a stray dog at the Little League Field but was turned away when I tried turning it in due to them being at "max capacity". Doesn't seem like they know what they're doing.

Shame on this place!! I’ve called since APRIL about a community cat problem in our neighborhood. We found a momma cat and she had 5 kittens born in our shed. Called to make a report and they NEVER SHOWED UP, even after notifying that we have pit bulls in our area. Called again after no one showed up 2 weeks late and then called back again in MAY and they took down my number so the Supervisor can give me a call to do TNR on two cats in our neighborhood and they NEVER called me. I took all of them today to try and see what they can do to help, and they basically denied all them. When asked how much do they charge for spay and neuter and they were of no help giving us information. We need more resources that WILL ANSWER to calls for the community. We have a massive cat problem but not enough resources. Some people don’t have the resources to pay for spaying or neutering when they are not our pets and spaying/neutering isn’t cheap either. We’ve been “informally fostering”, no thanks to BAARC!!!!

They work hard to get the animals adopted or transferred to a rescue as quickly as possible. Everyone there cares about animals and goes above and beyond. The volunteers are also amazing!

We adopted our girl in August last year. BARCC did a great job explaining when we could expect to pick her up and bring her home. They gave us all the medical history they had on file and even samples of the food they fed her to slowly transition her to new food. We will keep donating here because they try their best with every bit that they get. A lot of the staff are unpaid volunteers and I’m so grateful to them. Thanks to the staff our girl celebrated her 2nd birthday 🎂 surrounded by love and affection .

The shelter has come a long way from what it was a few years ago. A lot has to do with who is running the place and I can tell you that the effort of making things better for the animals has been tremendous because it’s done with sincere love and passion. The shelter manager, Jean Rosado has greatly improved so many facets and continues to excel in bettering the environment at the shelter for the animals. He also has such a great team of people and together they continue to do so much good and as a volunteer i see it first hand. Jean truly goes out of his way to help people to the best of his ability that come in with different concerns and situations. I can’t encourage people enough to adopt the wonderful animals you find at BARCC. When you adopt you save a life and you make room at the shelter to save another.
