In Mobile, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Alabama, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

Mobile is in Alabama, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Mobile is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. We have been using Bow Wow Boutique for many years. Shara is amazing, great at grooming, loves her clients and very reliable. I do recommend her. I brought her a 3-4 month old scared poodle and she was very patient and kind with my Chloe and in 2-3 visits I picked up a calm puppy. Thanks. 😊

Puppy needed his nails done and I called on my lunch hour simply to schedule, but was told I could come at that time. So convenient! I didn't get her name, but she was super sweet and friendly. It was very clean and smelled nice. A lot of times, at different groomers I've been to, it didn't smell so nice (you know what I mean) 😁. It's a little tucked back, but not too hard to find. I would definitely recommend!

Tried this place and was not happy. My dogs hair was longer on one side of his face and the lady there acted like I was an inconvenience! She said that I had until a certain time to pick him up but then called and said he was done and I had to come get him. I reminded her about the time she said and she said that she was done with jobs for the day so she wanted me to get him. So unprofessional.

Recently moved to the area and was looking for a local groomer, decided to give them a try. My hubby dropped off our baby and said he got a bad vibe about the place. When he picked her up, she smelled like wet dog, like she wasn't even bathed. I had requested a shave down, she was shaved but barely and there were long pieces of hair everywhere, where she was not cut evenly. She acted terrified when she came home. Will NEVER be back!!!

They did a great job on our 2 cock-a-poos. Shara is very professional and thorough when you bring them in to find out exactly how you want your dogs cut and what other services to provide. Everyone I met there was very friendly and they do a great job. The dogs have never looked better since we starting using them.
