Bow Wow & Meow Pet Grooming

Our Penny is a 90 lb Doodle, poodle/husky mix. She’s sweet, but she’s a lot. She was recently turned away by a local chain groomer who had been grooming her for the past three years. I was so nervous leaving her, but I was reassured by the owner that she would be ok, and I could leave. A few hours later I checked in and was told I could pick up - it all went well. Upon arriving, I could see that Penny was very well groomed. No lines in her fur, no razor chaffing and she did not look like a skin walker, like in previous groomings. The owner put a bandana on her and told her what a good girl she was and sent us on our way. The groomer has a calm and sweet demeanor that just makes you trust her from the start. Upon examining Penny at home, I noticed that they took extra care in not shaving off her long beautiful eyelashes. Something that the previous groomer had done. She took extra care in making sure Penny felt comfortable and looked amazing. Thank you for grooming our giant Penny. We love that you left her eyelashes. ;-) She’s all set for the summer. 😘

🚫The owners are running a very sub-par business. Counting on the fact that people want quick appointments and won’t do their fair share of research on this business and getting their dogs groomed properly. It is very strange that they have kids and family running all over the place. Too many dogs at once and they sometimes have you stick your own dog in the crate cage and the feeling I got leaving them there was not good. We had a very old dog years ago get groomed and he was very old and frail. They did not take the time of day to make sure he was safely groomed. He came out of there looking like a wet rat. Do not take your dogs here just for the convenience. This is something that should be taken very seriously if you have a pet. The extra money and time for an appointment at a groomer with experience and positive feedback is the only way. Maybe even learning the skills from YouTube videos and doing it yourself would be safer than sending them here. All of the negative reviews prove this and the positive ones are of people that just want the quick convenience. They also raised their prices in the last few years which does not equate to the level of service your pet will receive.

I have been taking my dogs to bow wow and meow for the last 15 years. Jamie is incredible, she always makes time for my pups. The building is clean, the cuts are fresh and it’s a trusted place for all your dog grooming needs, bravo Jamie! Thanks for being a reliable groomer for my dogs all these years.

Please take your pets here!! I brought in my elderly cat this week because I was at my wits end trying to make him NOT look like the cat from the pet cemetery and honestly I wish I did it sooner! My cat has horribly dry skin and lots of dandruff and just is a generally dirty guy so I was hoping for a miracle and this girls did it! We’re three days passed his appointment and he’s still looking better than he has for YEARS! They double bathed him, deep conditioned him, brushed him out, clipped his nails, cleaned his ears, and gave him a great hygiene trim for an amazing price! He was very zen when we got home so they must have given him extra loving there! I brought his dog brother in the following day for his appointment and the sweet groomer remembered and asked how the cat was doing! All the staff is soooo sweet and they definitely love the pets they take care of! Can’t wait to take my pets back for their next appointment! :)
