I took my dog here for a bath and brush-out, and I was very disappointed. When I dropped him off, I was quoted $125, but later I received a call saying the price had increased to $160. I wish they had communicated that the price might change before starting the service instead of surprising me afterward. My dog was definitely clean after the bath, but he still needed to be brushed out more when I picked him up. Since a brush-out was one of the main reasons I brought him in, I expected a more thorough job. For $160, I expected better communication and results. Unfortunately, I don’t feel the service matched the price.

We’ve sent our dog to them a few times and they are usually pretty consistent, always friendly, and relatively timely (getting the dog in and out within 3-4 hours). Not so much this time unfortunately. We scheduled an appointment for 11am and were told it would take roughly 3 hours or so, after 5 hours and about 8 phone calls with no answer I went to the groomer 20 minutes before they close to see if I can pick up my fur baby. I walk in and my dog whose appointment was scheduled for 11am was still on the table and needed her nails, pads, AND ears done. I finally was able to collect her right as they closed, after she had been there for SIX hours. They still had one dog on the table they were working on. I do understand that things happen and timelines change but the lack of communication was frustrating.

Today was the first time my fur pup (labradoodle) went here for grooming. Staff is very nice and made me feel comfortable dropping her off. The location is in a nice area too, tucked away so I didn’t feel uneasy with leaving her there. My pup came out very happy and gorgeous. Thank you!!!

We had a great experience getting our Aussie Doodle groomed today! The staff is friendly, their work is great, and it was a timely experience. We will definitely be back for grooming again!

I’ve been to several groomers in Salem and I’ve never had an experience like I did at Bougie Pooch Grooming. Booking was easy, I got in quickly, and when I called with questions they were so kind and helpful. They did a thorough consultation with me and my dog, explained what would be best for her coat, and suggested styles since she’s still a puppy — which I really appreciated. When I picked her up, I was blown away. She looked absolutely adorable and her coat looked amazing. The shop was clean, the staff was wonderful, and they even included a little holiday gift which was such a sweet touch. I will definitely be back and have already been recommending them to everyone!
