Bohemian Spaw

I’ve been there twice, and both times they cut the hair completely differently than I wanted—they totally ignored the client! It is the worst service I have ever encountered. I made a polite, reasonable request; I even came in and showed them a photo of exactly how I wanted my pet’s haircut to look. Total disregard! The end result bore absolutely no resemblance to what I had asked for. On top of that, it was uneven—one side of the face was shaped like a diamond while the other was a circle; shorter here, longer there...

My previous groomer of 4 years decided they no longer valued me as a client when I had asked for my dog’s haircut to be corrected. It was sheer great luck that I met the owners of Bohemian Spaw at the Lisle French Market. I made an appointment with them to give my little guy the summer style he should have received 3wks prior. He looked exactly as I had asked. They were friendly, good communicators, and clearly appreciated my business. It was also great that my pup didn’t come home with that overpowering scent in some shampoos. I like the holistic approach and so did my dog. See you in 6 weeks for our next appointment.

5/5 stars – each star for professionalism, cleanliness, knowledge, friendliness, and efficiency. I found Bohemian Spaw when searching for dog grooming near me. The groomer was very professional and the facility was spotless. The staff clearly knows how to handle different breeds and were friendly and efficient, getting my dog groomed quickly without any stress. I will definitely keep coming back for full service dog grooming. And my dogs are all excited to go. We have a total of 5 dogs between my household and my daughter’s.

I’m seriously so happy I could cry!! There is SO much to say about Bohemian Spaw! First - our Australian Shepherd/Border Collie Mix named Shep has been going to same groomer for the past couple of years. The last couple of grooms I haven’t been impressed with, but my dog was used to that groomer, so we kept going. That groomer hasn’t been super reliable lately since he’s been having some issues, so I started searching for a new groomer a couple of months ago. Nobody stood out to me. I wasn’t super impressed with any pictures I saw, limited information on their websites, etc. it was hard for me to try someone new when I didn’t get good feelings in my gut. Fast forward to yesterday - I expanded my search and found Bohemian Spaws. Their website is wonderful, every single picture made me smile, and they have bios of all their groomers! I immediately called to get some info and they were able to get us in today! Monica groomed our baby and I cannot even put into words how beautiful of a job she did!!! I literally teared up when my husband brought him home!! She did such an incredible job with shaping his trim to fit his body, and I can’t get over how she trimmed the hair on his back

I cannot say enough good things about Bohemian Spaw! My dog is very difficult when it comes to grooming, especially his paws. He absolutely hates having them touched, even I can’t touch his paws. Despite that, the groomer somehow manages to trim his paws perfectly every single time. He even does his nails, which is something even the vet struggles with. I honestly don’t know what kind of magic he works, but it’s impressive. When my dog is done, he smells absolutely amazing, is unbelievably soft, and looks adorable. He shapes him so well. His face is perfectly round, and he literally walks out with a little bubble butt. It’s the cutest thing ever. This was my second visit, and I will definitely keep coming back. The price is very reasonable too. $85 for such a beautifully done cut is more than fair, especially considering how challenging my dog can be. He’s not inconvenient, just hard to groom, and the care and patience shown here truly means a lot. Highly recommend Bohemian Spaw to anyone looking for an experienced, kind, and talented groomer!
