Our dogs love Bittersweet! The team convinced two skeptical older coonhounds that baths and nail trims were fun. Our guys love the playtime and pool time when they are boarded. It is such a relief that our boys have a fun and safe place to stay when we travel.

Unfortunately I would not recommend anyone to take their pet to this place. 7 nights @ $1,200 for two dogs…… Paid for the upgraded package which included daily pictures sent. These were not received for the first two days until I called to enquirer - somehow I opted out of text messages but paid for this upgrade????? Once I finally got the pictures, one showed my dog with large amounts of drool and fluid/foam coming out of her mouth - which has never happened before. Called asap the next morning to be assured everything was OK…… Finally picked them up only to have the one dog have severe dehydration and diarrhea of which required an emergency vet visit on a Sunday morning (less then 24 hours from bringing them home). $400 later with fluids and meds the dog is getting back to normal. Additionally I paid for baths for the dog, which were never done however still charged… Their initial response to this was a “future credit for a bath”. They also claim to have a $500 pet care promise of which I am still unclear what this covers as they had no intention to cover my pets emergency vet visit. They did end up refunding the bath they never performed, however I would give this place NO recom

We just started taking Bruno to daycare at the Niles location. The caregivers are helpful, friendly and you can tell they love animals. Bruno is 6 and we have never had to board him. He is non social and we were hoping they could get him to be more social and eventually play with other dogs. So far they are doing a great job. We are so happy to have found a great place. We took our other dogs (before Bruno) to a place in Granger that was horrible. When your dog is scared to go back, there’s something wrong. He loves to go to Bittersweet. That tells us, they do good. Highly recommend..

To be perfectly honest, I took my first puppy to this place for boarding and it was terrible but I loved the way Angie (I call her Angel) groomed him, but scheduling was a disaster. They have been under new management for a few months and now everything is GREAT!!! I'd give them a 10/10 if I could. I haven't had any problems with scheduling and everyone goes above and beyond to accommodate me. I have a 9 month old Teacup Maltese (Teenie Tiny Love). Today was his first appointment. I got there only to find that he was missing a vaccination. Angel and the rest of the staff waited while I ran, got him the vaccine, brought him back and groomed him!!! I used to try to brush Teenie, but he would yelp and resist. I thought he was just frightened because I've only had him 2 months and he came from an abusive situation so I wouldn't brush him!! He had a lot of hair, but as soon as Angel felt him she said his hair was matted. I could have cried but to make things worse she said I shouldn't have clothes on him because that causes matting also. I thought to myself, "My Baby only weighs 3.7 lbs. He will freeze!!!" Angel explained "If you're not cold, he won't be cold." I have to build up to

We boarded our doodles for 4 nights and this was a wonderful experience. They treated our pups like they were special. We received report cards and pictures every day and I think Kevin and Henry had a better time than we did on vacation. We will definitely board there again and highly recommend the Kalamazoo location.
