It was fun for my dog Sarge and other dogs that were there also. I did see some dolphins in the bay area once this month too.

Visited Bayview Dog Beach and it was such a fun, laid-back spot for dogs to splash and play. It’s more of a bayfront area along Bayou Texar than a traditional beach, so expect calm, shallow water instead of waves and wide white sand. The fenced off-leash area gives dogs plenty of space to roam, cool off, and socialize. There was a good mix of dogs, including larger breeds like ours, and it still felt friendly and easygoing. It’s not a picture-perfect beach, but it works REALLY well for what it is. We were actually staying in Destin and made the 1 hour- 1.5 hour drive because dogs are not allowed on the beaches there, so this ended up being our only real option for a dog beach day. It was absolutely worth the trip to let them get in the water and stretch their legs. It can get a little busy and the water clarity varies, but the relaxed vibe makes it easy to enjoy. It honestly felt like one of those hidden gem stops you are glad you made the effort for. Definitely a great option if you are nearby and want somewhere your dog can actually play. Tip: If you’re coming from Destin, go earlier in the day, bring towels and fresh water, and plan it as a dedicated outing so the drive feels

We needed to find a place for our dog to enjoy the water off leash while visiting Pensacola. He had an absolute blast. Friendly people and dogs. Relatively clean. We liked the wash off station for after he got out. Definitely worth the visit

I took my Bassett Hound to the park for the first time in the area. The park was great, The dogs had a great time playing. Everyone behaved and the dog owners were so friendly and their dogs too. Lucia was so tired after the couple hours ,she passed smooth out. Look forward to another trip.

This is one of our favorite dog parks. We go to beach. They do have another park on the other side of the parking lot also. We haven't visited the dry park. We come here to run in the sand and play in the water. Shade is available. Water available for dogs to drink. Also a wash off station when it's time to go.
