In Springfield, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Illinois, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

Springfield is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Springfield follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I have 2 doodles and schedule their appointments for the entire year in advance. At one of our last appointment times, I received a text from Ashley cancelling our appointment 15 minutes before it was scheduled to begin, I literally had my dogs in the car. Then, they charged us a matting fee once they finally could see our dogs again. I am a regular Saturday client, again I book the year in advance, and I received a message this morning letting me know my appointment next Saturday is rescheduled two weeks out, to 10am on a Thursday. Ashley let me know if that doesn’t work I can find my own appointment, she would not be making accommodations in their schedules to groom our dogs on a weekend. The next appointment is November 28th. I wouldn’t schedule with them unless you don’t actually need an appointment time and you can have your dogs groomed based on when they feel like working. And don’t forget your extra charge once you do get back in!!

WOW!!! We've been trying to find a consistent groomer for our Saint Bernard for a couple years. Her coat became unmanageable and we are not trained or educated on pet grooming, and us just brushing & washing it was not enough. ✨*Our Saint Bernard came home looking like a different dog*✨ I know she must feel soooo much better with all the loose fur and mats out, and Bark Side didn't shame us or make me feel awful about how bad her coat was (which I greatly appreciated because I already beat myself up over it tenfold). I cannot recommend them enough and hope to take our Saint Bernard back for regular visits to keep her feeling and looking great!!!

Our favorite place to take our doodle!! The girls are so sweet & the environment is so nice! I love the convenience of booking online, and our girl always comes back looking and smelling THE BEST!! She also gives her a cute bandanna to match her haircut! Highly recommend taking your dogs here!!

Ashley is simply the BEST! I’ve been taking our maltipoo to her for years now and he positively loves her! We love her too!

I never got a chance to meet the owner or schedule my dog service because she do not answer calls or voice mail. But she responded to my text timely, and informed me she had her fill or max with accepting large dogs. It was disheartening to feel as if the size of my dog is unwanted to serve. She may have great reviews of her current canines, but all large dogs (German shepherd) needs services & love too. Unable to rate, but 1 star required to post....
