In Tucson, look for trainers who use reward-based methods and hold a certification such as CPDT-KA, and ask what a course includes and how many dogs are in a class. Many groomers suggest getting puppies used to brushing, nail trims and having their paws handled early. Tucson is in Arizona, in the Southwest, where the desert climate brings very hot summers, mild sunny winters and the summer monsoon; outdoor businesses shift their hours toward early mornings and evenings in the hottest months. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Tucson follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

He took our HIGHLY reactive dog to do a board and train with Joe and it changed our boy’s life! Our dog, Boots, had been attacked twice when he was a puppy and became reactive because of it. We couldn’t take him on walks without him freaking out at anything & everything. (Even the wind or grass would set him off) We took him to Joe for a 10 day board and train and he came back a whole new dog! Since getting Boots back we can take him out on walks, take him to the dog park or honestly wherever we want! He is doing amazing & isn’t as scared anymore! Joe checks in and we also text him with any questions or ask him how we should handle certain situations. I can’t recommend Joe enough! He took such amazing care of our boy and made sure to work on things that we wanted improvements on. He isn’t a trainer that will just tell you what you want to hear, he will tell you exactly how your dog is and what needs to happen to make changes. If you are thinking about having your dog trained by Joe we 100% recommend!! It was worth every penny to have our boy actually enjoy going out again! Joe, we can’t thank you enough for all the hard work you put in!

We worked with Joe and Renee - Joe for stay and train AND boarding, Renee for boarding (although Renee had our pup for a few days during the stay and train when Joe wasn't available). These two are great at what they do. It's clear they have found their passion. Is the stay and train cheap? No. But is it worth it? Absolutely. You get what you pay for. Joe even felt the need to keep our pup for a few extra days at no additional charge. They want to see your pup succeed. And let me tell you that your pup will be spoiled. Ours got to live it up with a day trip to Mount Lemmon, a visit to the Pima Air & Space Museum, and so much more. If your pup needs training like our Abby did, reach out to these two! You'll be glad you did!

I am so grateful to have found such a great trainer! We did the Stay & Train program and I’m so glad we did. A huge weight has been lifted off of our shoulders. It’s scary leaving your dog to go off to train, but Joe is such a family man and you can tell that he really cares for dogs. This was extremely important to us!! Our dogs are more mannered, less aggressive and they finally LISTEN!! Our dogs will for sure miss Joe, but their quality of life will be better because of him. Thank you so much!

Highly recommend! We learned about Bandana Dog Training via a strong recommendation from a friend who sent their dog through the Stay and Train program. Lisa helped schedule the training to fit with our family’s summer plans. Joe has now trained both of our dogs through his Stay and Train program and it is amazing what a difference it has made for our family. During the training, Joe sent frequent updates and photos and was clear that our pups were safe, cared for, and happy. (In fact, they are more excited to see Joe than anyone else!). The training definitely improved our dogs’ behaviors and, more importantly, our communication with our dogs. We have continued to grow with his refresher classes and are able to confidently take our pups out and about and on road trips, which was one of our main goals. I wholeheartedly recommend Bandana Dog Training.

Joe did a great job with our super reactive unruly pit mix rescue. Joe had our guy for 10 days at first to work on his reactivity and manners. It went great. About a year later we had Joe take him again for e-collar training. After these 2 visits with Joe we had a different dog. Before training I hated taking him for walks he was all over the place and reacted to every dog walking with in eye shot. He is now such a good boy and its actually a pleasure walk, and when hiking we can walk by a dog without him wanting to attack them! Life is so much better! I couldn't recommend him enough!
