In Tallahassee, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Florida, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

Hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in Tallahassee keep standard business hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on weekends and holidays. You can reach Awesome Pet Wash at (850) 294-8479; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Tallahassee is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Tallahassee is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We have had Calvin for the past 4 yrs and he is just awesome with our dogs. He does a wonderful job every time. He is so gentle to our senior dog and is just great with our big baby who has anxiety issues.

Calvin has been our choice going on three years now. He is great with our Shih tzu who does not like baths but when Calvin comes by he is a happy camper and we are too. Thanks Calvin for your services and look forward to more visits. Oh and he is mobile too.

Calvin has been grooming my family’s Maltese and Pomeranians for years - Lola, Blazer, Zeus, Sassy, and Dixie — he is the best, most reliable and loves the dogs he handles. I highly recommend!!! We trust him with our babies and they love him!

I had been put in a bind because my regular groomer failed to show up, did not call and would not return my phone calls. I called Calvin and he came the very next day. He was absolutely wonderful. Very professional and extremely polite. He was fantastic with my Yorkie and Shih Tzu! My Shih Tzu wanted to go home with him. If you need a professional groomer who really cares about his/her work AND reliable, you should call Calvin. He impressed me so much that I will never go back to my old groomer.
