Located at 745 W Baseline Rd #22, Mesa, AZ 85210, Aunt Donna's Grooming operates as a pet groomer serving Mesa in Arizona. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

In Mesa, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Arizona, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–4 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (480) 539-4300. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is auntdonnasgrooming.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 180 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Mesa is in Arizona, in the Southwest, where the desert climate brings very hot summers, mild sunny winters and the summer monsoon; outdoor businesses shift their hours toward early mornings and evenings in the hottest months. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Mesa follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

First I want to say if Riley was running this grooming facility, it probably would not be empty all of the time. Secondly, neither of my dogs bite. About a month ago, I took both of my pups in for nail trims. Sadly, Sean was the only one there and he was extremely grouchy which seems to be his normal behavior according to the reviews that I read after the fact. He did one of my pups who is elderly and is easy to handle. My other pup has always been easy to handle even though she is young and active. Sean appeared to be scared of her before he had her on his table, a small 10 lb dog. He had no patience and put something around her neck which is a first for either of my pups and best I can recall he did not do that with my other pup. Also, if he was so scared of her then she shouldn't be grooming and obviously it never crossed his mind to put a muzzle on her if he was so frightened. However, I would have done the same thing that I ended up doing and told him to leave her alone. She obviously sensed his fear and bad attitude and she started bucking like horses do. I went over and offered to hold her and he screamed at me because I was not holding her correctly and when I asked h

This review isn’t about the quality of the grooming, but rather the poor customer service that ensures we won’t be returning. We brought our one-year-old Shetland Sheepdog for her first grooming. The employee, Sean, was dismissive from the start. He refused to take our emergency contact or vet information, saying it wasn’t important, and seemed entirely indifferent when we explained how we wanted her coat cut. The real issue occurred at pickup. When we asked to see our dog before paying—simply to check the work and ask for adjustments if necessary—Sean came out and told us it was “insulting” that we wanted to look at her first. As a business owner, I know how critical customer retention is. Bringing a pet to the groomer should be a pleasant experience, but Sean’s terrible communication and lack of people skills guaranteed we will never bring our dog back here.

Shawn/Sean is an amazing groomer. Being a first time customer, I had initially taken our cat, “Sophie” in for a nail clipping about a month ago. Shawn was very friendly and cordial and since my wife and I had just moved to the area we decided that when Sophie would need a complete grooming, this would be the place. Now when we had our cat groomed at different groomers, we would drop her off, get a call about 2-3 hours later, so I was surprised when I expected to drop her off only to be asked to stay. And I was extremely glad I did. Shawn educated and informed me of the benefits in staying and providing a hands on experience during the grooming process. I can’t imagine what a cat feels when they are dropped off at a groomer, but the calming effect it had on our cat was overwhelming and believe me I could go on and on regarding the visit to Aunt Donna’s and the knowledge I left with regarding the differences of being present and just dropping off. Shawn is a cat whisperer. I recommend him to all cat owners! Customer for my cats life. D and P.

•••PLEASE AVOID this grooming company••• I have taken my dogs here once before and I suspected a lack of patience and condescending behavior from dog groomer, Sean. Recently, we scheduled to have two dogs groomed. One was there for nails only and the other was a full groom. We left our Phoenix home to arrive in their Mesa location. While driving there, we get a call from Sean at exactly 8 am demanding to know where are we, and he was advised we were about 1.5 miles away, about 2 minutes out. We arrive, I have one of two dogs in hand and he demands to start with the other. He looked rude and when he ordered me, it was clear he refused to move forward as arranged by phone. Also I noticed one of my dogs wet their dog seat when arrived there. feel they suffered from abuse there by Sean. Just STAY AWAY.

Brought my 2 cats here to get groomed/ nails trimmed by John and I love how they look. I did a lions cut but kept the tail unshaved. They look so cute and the price was very decent for two cats. I will continue to go to John to get them groomed. He really takes good care of them.
