About Assembly of the Wandering Shepherd
We all love our pets, and there are science-based practices we can adopt to add longevity and happiness to their lives.
AWS knows that the loss of a pet, whether they have fur, feathers, or scales, is traumatic. We understand that this loss is equal, if not greater than, the loss of some humans from our lives. Our Animal Chaplain and End-of-Life Doulas are available to help anyone who is in need of support during these extra tough times.
Assembly of the Wandering Shepherd believes all living creatures are imbued with aspects of the divine; as such our mission is to promote the human-animal bond by teaching animal guardians the skills they need to support health & wellness, and to reduce pain & suffering in all creation.

I found Robynn & Assembly of the Wandering Shepherd when I was researching what it would take to certify my dog as a therapy dog. Happy to say with a lot of coaching and mentoring from Robynn, my dog completed her certification and can now start sharing more love with more people. Robynn is so passionate and generous with her knowledge and expertise. I'm so grateful to her for everything she taught both of us thru this process. She is an amazing human and clearly has a love of dogs!

I am writing to share my recent experience with The Assembly of the Wandering Shepherd and its owner, Robynn. While I initially hesitated to write this, I feel it is important to provide feedback regarding the inconsistency and lack of professionalism I encountered during a very difficult time. A month ago, following the loss of our dog, our veterinarian gave us referrals to pet loss support groups. I decided to reach out to Robynn for grief support. During an initial virtual meeting, Robynn was supportive and specifically invited my husband and I to visit in person, to further process and to do some rock painting to memorialize our beloved pet. She also encouraged us to bring our surviving 15-year-old Chihuahua. However, the day before our scheduled appointment when Robynn reached out to confirm, the tone of her communication changed abruptly. Despite her previous invitation of us bringing our Chihuahua, Robynn began questioning our dog’s activity level and stated her space was not set up for dogs. This of course was confusing considering she runs a dog training business. When I reminded her of his senior age, how calm he is, and offered to keep him on my lap, she expressed disc

I feel so fortunate to have met Robynn when I was first starting my training journey with my sweet little companion, Ila. I have done training with dogs I've had in the past, but the experience with Robynn has been far beyond regular dog training. We've done several classes with her over the past few years. She has taught me so much about how to build a strong, trusting relationship with Ila. I've learned so much about trust and respect towards our pets, and the training has been successful and fun. Robynn and all those who work with her are extremely caring and always happy to help with questions or advice. In addition, Robynn is helping us through the journey towards being a pet therapy team. Robynn's knoweldge, expertise and compassion show in all she does, and I'm so grateful for all the help and support!

Thanks to Robynn’s guidance, Boone and I have forged a bond that goes beyond the typical pet-guardian relationship. Her teaching methods in the Olfactory Fun and Fitness Fun classes have brought us closer together. Boone’s trust in me has grown significantly as he exercised his body and brain in class while having lots of fun. Beyond classroom time, Robynn’s commitment to guiding us toward our goal as a Therapy Dog Team is truly admirable. She thinks outside the box, tailoring her approach to our specific needs. Her genuine dedication to our success is evident in the way she encourages and perseveres through challenges. I highly recommend Robynn for those seeking creative ways to learn and strengthen their bond with their dog. Her kind and positive training methods are effective and ensure a fun learning experience.

Robynn s great at listening, answering questions, and offering resources. Her knowledge and ability to communicate what she sees in the dog and the handler provides valuable insights and techniques to strengthen the bond between you and your dog. Ruby and I met with Robynn to explore the idea of Ruby being in a fitness class with other dogs. I describe Ruby as a “sensitive thinker” who was unsure about the world around her. Ruby had her basic obedience behaviors down, but I was looking for ways to increase her confidence. Robynn offered suggestions on ways to build Ruby’s self-assurance. I have watched Ruby’s confidence grow during our Olfactory Fun classes. Robynn’s goal of wanting the dogs to have a place to freely experience their gift of smell has opened a door for Ruby and helped to strengthen the bond I have with her. We are currently taking our first fitness class with other pups and Ruby is doing great! I highly recommend working with Robynn if you are looking to find joy for you and your pup.
