Flagstaff is in Arizona, in the Southwest, where the desert climate brings very hot summers, mild sunny winters and the summer monsoon; outdoor businesses shift their hours toward early mornings and evenings in the hottest months. Getting around Flagstaff is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Arizona's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

After taking three Navajo rugs to Arizona Rug Spa for much needed cleaning and repairs, I'm more than pleased with the results. My daughter and I purchased the rugs knowing they'd need attention. We're talking moth damage, stains, loose fibers, curling that would not allow one of them to lay flat, etc. The owner of the business, a delightful and knowledgeable professional, thoroughly explained how she'd approach each rug noting that a stain on one of them might be permanent. Well, that stain isn't noticeable anymore, and all three rugs have been completely revived beyond my expectations. I believe the weavers of these rugs would be happy to see how beautiful and vibrant they look today.
