Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Arctic Paws Pet Grooming at (907) 978-9557; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, arcticpawspetgrooming.groomore.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 24 reviews, which is a strong result for a pet groomer in North Pole and suggests consistent service.

Fantastic job with our labradoodle!! Very patient for our nervous boy. Cannot say enough great things about Arctic Paws. Update. Instead of working with us they just told us they can’t see our pup anymore. They only said he was scared of blow dryer and we should blow dry him to get him accustomed. No other solutions. I would not recommend them anymore. Update 6/15 I just got a call from Arctic Paws asking why I changed my review. I explained why and they are now asking me to change my review and how they would see our dog again. I explained that I would not bring my dog back again and was told there is obviously no fixing this and I was defensive because they couldn’t fix the issue. The time to fix it was when I picked up my dog. They said they would love to see our dog again and I said I never would and then was told well there’s obviously no fixing this since you are a doodle owner. Doodle owners…..watch out for these people!!!!! Just so everyone knows. My first rating was 5 stars. Second was 2 when they called me and now I’ve changed it to 1. If you have questions please find me and I am happy to share thoughts.

Took my parents 12 year old shihtzu dog here for a trim. We have had issues with other places in the past so we were skeptical but boy did they deliver. Our dog looked adorable, smelled amazing, and most of all was not her normal shaking ball of anxiety when we got her. She was calm and happy. Highly recommend. Already scheduled our next grooming and you should too!

We just moved here and needed a groomer for our midsize labradoodle Honey and Sara did an amazing job! Although there’s a few different options for groomers in the North Pole/Fairbanks area, Arctic Paws is great because Sara takes her time and makes sure your dog is taken care of. In addition, she truly does one on one care so your dog is in and out faster than when going to a larger grooming salon that takes multiple dogs at once. In the past Honey would typically sit at the groomer for 5 hours or more but Sara finished her up in about 3/3.5 hrs and that’s including getting out some of the matting she got from our roadtrip up here! I would definitely go back to Sara for all grooming needs and would definitely recommend to anyone, especially if you have a doodle.

Being a military dog, my dog has been groomed at many different places, and I am happy to say that Sarah at Arctic Paws did the BEST job grooming my dog I have ever seen. He is so soft and smells so good. Ears clean and perfectly trimmed. Nails clipped and an even coat all over. I LOVE and appreciate her professionalism and knowledge in grooming pets!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for taking your job seriously and caring for our furry member of the family 😍
