The staff here is AMAZING!! Shout out to Dr. Eng and Xenia specifically for all of their help! I came to them with a severely anxious Italian greyhound puppy. With their help, I was able to turn her from a scared, screaming puppy that would have accidents on herself and chew through crates and walls every time she was left alone into a calm, happy dog that will peacefully rest in her crate when we leave. The staff are all so knowledgeable and kind. They also are very responsive, quickly responding to every email I sent with any questions or concerns I had. I recommend this clinic to anyone dealing with a pet with behavioral issues! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!!

We are truly lucky to have such a great behavioral vet team here. Everyone has been so helpful and knowledgeable. The visits are stress free and everything is set in place to make the dog as comfortable as possible. I cannot recommend Dr. Eng and her team enough. She has helped us to get our dog to become comfortable with life again with a multi-faceted approach truly molded our needs. After two years of working with Dr. Eng and having found the right combination of medications and behavioral work, we are now ready to graduate to maintain our treatment plan with our regular vet.

My cat Cherry🍒 had an appointment at the Animal Behavior Wellness Center in Fairfax. Dr. Eng, Xenia, and Emmy were amazing. I feel more hopeful that we can get her pain under control and her little brain happier 🥹.🫶🐈⬛️. She enjoyed the fish tank 🐟, cat furniture💺, and oh so many treats. I highly recommend them 💜

My experience of ABWC is that their number one goal is to maximize payments to their facility. Your first appointment will be a telehealth appointment, and it will not be with a vet but with an employee who takes down the same information that they also ask you to provide in a mandatory and very long questionnaire. That visit will cost you $245. The second visit, you are allowed to see a vet. That visit will cost you $600. In our in-person visit, which lasted an hour, we went over the same information that I had provided in the lengthy questionnaire and to the employee in the first appointment. It doesn't seem the first appointment was necessary for anything other than to increase revenues to the facility. My dog has deep anxiety at the vet but no other issues. It was suggested in our second appointment that we change vets to Clarendon Animal Care because they are a fear-free vet and will provide vet visit training. We also were told to test various medications at home to see how my dog reacted to them. They threw a lot of information at us in the appointment, with multiple follow up emails with various pieces of information. It was all rather disorganized and difficult to follo

Dr. Pike is absolutely phenomenal. She is a world class clinician and educator yet very compassionate, caring and relatable. I have never seen a private clinic as well run or well staffed as Animal Behavior Wellness Center. The administrative staff is very well trained, professional and competent. There is a staff of vet techs(who specialize in behavior) and certified trainers who help implement behavior modification prescriptions appropriately and conduct the many classes and training programs offered.By the way, the facility is first class. I know I sound as if I’m fawning, but as the owner with a large imposing dog, ABWC is a security blanket for me (even though she is a very good girl).

We are so thankful that our veterinarian recommended ABWC to us! Our miniature dachshund puppy Robin has learned and benefited so much from their Pre-School and Kindergarten classes. Robin was initially a very timid puppy and we were unsure that she would ever want to play with other dogs, but after attending just a few classes she became a social butterfly and now loves other people and dogs.(especially big dogs!) Robins new best friend is now a German shepherd dog that weighs nearly 100 lbs, which I initially didn’t think was possible due to their massive size difference! Robin has greatly benefitted from her classes at ABWC, both socially and with skill training. I am very grateful that she was able to have so many positive experiences to set her up for success. My husband and I have also learned so much from ABWC and have become much better trainers and dog parents as a result. None of this could have been possible without the guidance and teachings from Christine, Luke and Sydney! Their expertise and thoughtful lessons have made such a lasting impact and we appreciate them all so much!

I first met Dr. Pike in 2015. I am a certified dog trainer and our paths crossed because I needed help with a rescue dog I had recently taken in and we shared some clients. Dr. Pike is by far the best veterinarian I have ever worked with regarding behavior. My own dog Lily had many challenges and Dr. Pike helped me think outside of the box when needed. Lily improved dramatically and ultimately lived a fairly normal life and it was a team effort with Dr. P being the captain. I don’t know what we would have done without her. I also had dog training clients who took their pup to see Dr. Pike and it was life changing. We are so lucky to have Dr. Pike and her expertise and kind heart for not only the animals but also the pet owners. I have literally driven 8 hours to see her with my own dog. And I have recently taken in another dog with a few projects and even though our veterinarian is wonderful here in NC, I think I might be driving those 8 hours again with Ruth/Ruthie because Dr. Pike is simply the best. She knows more about challenging behaviors and the medications used to help decrease or even stop these behaviors than any veterinarian I have experienced either for my personal dogs
