I took my Golden Retrievers here a few weeks ago for boarding. The manager, Mary, was so kind and helpful and made me feel so at ease leaving our Goldens here. They were so well cared for and exhausted from how much fun they had while here. We will definitely be back!

Talk about a total experience!! This is by far the best dog resort in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex!! The staff absolutely outstanding. The puppy postcards made me feel like I never left!! If you want the best for dog, cat, or exotic pet, this is the place to go!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I now can comfortably do whatever I want because of the love, compassion, and kindness this group of amazing people showed my dog!!

American Pet Spa always does a first class grooming job for our dog. They always take good care of her whether she is there for grooming, doggie daycare or boarding.

It’s been a long time since this happened, I couldn’t decide whether to say anything, that’s my mistake. This happened may 28th 2024. I took my dog to get a bath and blow dried. When I came to get her, she had a severely swollen face around her eye. I had just gotten her and I couldn’t tell if I was seeing things correctly, but the person that handed her over to me alluded to something happening while she was there. She acted like she wasn’t allowed to directly say anything about what happened. I have a lot of childhood trauma and so I struggle to speak up about things, or I would have been asking a lot more questions and probably filed a report. My dog is extremely docile. There’s no way she tried to do anything warranting extreme action on a handlers part. I’ve groomed her many times since, and also taken her to several groomers, and she is extremely cooperative and well behaved. I decided I would never take an animal to American pet spa and resort again. They didn’t even get her clean, she had a bunch of loose fur coming off right when we got home. I don’t know what happened, but with all the reports of animal abuse by groomers coming out, all I can do is hope that wasn’t it

Our Golden doodle has stayed here multiple times. We’ve never had an issue with boarding. However, twice we’ve asked for and this time paid for daily brushing to ensure no matting. At the end of her stay we had her groomed and she came home scalped. This time bleeding. Please know they will not brush daily even if you pay for the service and they will scalp your pet to the point of blood.
