About Alpha Dog Pet Grooming

Professional dog and cat grooming.

Located at 909 W Farm to Market 495 Ste 4, San Juan, TX 78589, Alpha Dog Pet Grooming operates as a pet groomer serving San Juan in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

In San Juan, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Texas, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

San Juan is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around San Juan is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Fantastic job on a very difficult groom. They were patient, kind and provided an excellent groom on a cat that had bad ear infections and very dirty face. I am forever grateful for the kindness show, and great job at reasonable price.

I’ve been taking my senior miniature schnauzer to Alpha Dog Pet Grooming for 3 years. They are amazing! They are gentle with her and her senior health problems. They are proficient in all the different types of breed cuts but will modify them to fit your pet’s needs. In addition, their rates are reasonable and they are very good about fitting us in to their schedule. I would recommend them to any pet owners in the Valley.

This was my baby’s first time getting groomed. I had to look for a last minute appointment and they were the only ones willing to take her in. Her hair was long and ugly but and they left her looking beautiful!
