Alpha Dog K9 Training

I can't recommend Nick and Janine highly enough. I was scared to walk Nico around my block because he would lunge at squirrels and other dogs. After he pulled me down our steps chasing a squirrel, I had enough and called Janine for leash training. From the first session, Nick and Janine were patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in Nico's progress, not just quick fixes, but real training we could actually understand and repeat at home. Most of our lessons were outside of Eisenhower dog park, where Nico could be exposed to other dogs safely behind the fence. Janine scheduled other dog trainees to meet at the same time as us so Nico could interact with other known dogs, supervised by Nick and Janine. This exposure was crucial to his progress. They also took the time to teach both me and my daughter how to correct Nico's behavior and respond calmly and consistently, so the training didn't stop when the session ended. Now I happily walk Nico anywhere I want to and feel more in control. If you have a reactive dog and are ready to do something about it, Nick and Janine are the team to call.

Our family was looking for training for our dog, Hachi. We needed some help with having him leash trained and off-leash trained. The trainers, Janine and Nick, can handle far more training subjects than what we needed for our dog. This training consists of building trust and a stronger connection with your dog. No need for tools that will hurt your dog at all- they offer the healthiest form of training at a helpful pace, and plans catered to you and your dog’s needs. They are very patient and understanding with dogs, and it’s amazing to see how quickly your dog responds to them! Even after the training ends, they extend their help to above and beyond- offering future guidance for if your dog starts to unearth bad habits or training. Overall, I heavily recommend Alpha Dog K9 Training to anyone who’s interested. If you want efficient, trustworthy, and guaranteed training, then this is the place. Best wishes to Nick and Janine, and those who make the best decision of choosing them to train their dog.

We started the program cautiously optimistic, and after the first week and a half were getting frustrated. But Janine’s words “baby steps” kept replaying in my head. Well now our graduate is a calm walking, well behaved dog. Nick and Janine trained us to train her. It definitely takes consistency on the part of the puppy parents, but the hard work PAYS OFF. Thank you Nick and Janine for all you’ve done.

Nick and Janine were absolutely incredible in training our basset puppy! From the very beginning, they were patient, kind, and incredibly supportive, not just with our puppy, but with us as well. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and made the entire process feel manageable and even enjoyable. Our puppy has made such amazing progress thanks to their guidance. It’s clear they truly care about what they do and about the dogs and families they work with. I would highly recommend Nick and Janine to anyone looking for knowledgeable, compassionate, and effective trainers. We are so grateful for their help!

Janine and Nick have been an integral part in our puppy’s upbringing. They’ve shown us how to communicate effectively with him and helped us learn how to train our puppy. They are professional, helpful, friendly and have tons of knowledge. Their tips and guidance have led us to a healthier relationship with our puppy. They’re excellent teachers, and I would highly recommend their services. Thank you! Frank, ToniAnn & Rocky
