About all about the DOGue salon & spa

Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.

My JRT, Birdie was as happy as I was with The Dogue. For years. Now Ozzie is with us. He's my Koloni and has had multiple trips to The Dogue. They say he's a model client, I think he paid them off to say so. Lol I recommend bc they care, very professional and reasonable price

The visit my dog had resulted in him bleeding. All we brought him in for was a nail trim. They didnt say anything and I didnt realize until we had walked a bit before seeing his nails covered in blood. Again, it doesnt help that you cannot see what goes on inside and my dog is always terrified to enter. I dont know that I will be going back.

I had been taking my dog here consistently for almost a year. Recently I've noticed a few things that set off some red flags... I've had pretty uneven nail trims, and even had to return my dog back for a fix. When I explained it to the owner and she saw him, she stated it was the angle of the nails & how they were cut instead of them being uneven. I don't understand how that makes sense, if they are uneven, they are uneven? If you cut them differently- then don't? Cut them all the same. The other thing I noticed was that my dogs grooms only lasts about 2-3 weeks. I have a 7 lb shihpoo. Grooming for him is $90. A groom should not last only 2-3 weeks! I called, spoke with the owner and gave her the opportunity to remedy the situation, but all she was doing was explaining how dogs hair can grow longer at certain times of the year. It's August and it's very hot. Typically, that happens in the winter when dogs need a thicker coat. I have had my dog for over 4 years and not once has he ever had a groom that only lasted him 2-3 weeks. I felt a little uncomfortable taking my dog back after having that conversation as I didn't want my dog to be punished or be treated poorly because I expre

Worst grooming experience in the Bay Area. Never again! My dog was dropped off around 9:30am and released at 5pm (I received a text saying he would be ready by 4). I asked if he was walked for a bathroom break/access to water, but the person there didn't answer me and avoided my question. This gave me the answer that he wasn't walked for a bathroom break or offered water. I suggested that appointment times need to be offered and they said it was more efficient this way. NO! Efficient for whom? Absolutely not for the dog who is cooped up for almost 8 hours with apparently no water or bathroom break. Clients are not allowed in the shop at all, so you can't see the space where your dog is being held and everyone is waiting awkwardly outside. The work is uneven and I found off at drop-off that my dog was not getting a full cut and only a trim. Trim came back long and uneven. For what they're charging he should get a full cut. They also take your card into the shop out of your view. He came home stressful and backed up, wouldn't eat, and I had to take him outside twice at 1am & 4am (following the appointment) because he was throwing up - most likely still stressed and backed up. We visited this past Saturday with our two Aussies. They have a lot of anxiety and we were nervous about moving to a new groomer. Aussies are double coated and can't be buzzed etc. Lena scheduled our appointment and even offered obedience classes to help with their anxiety (which we will be trying 😅). Drop off was smooth and pick up was hours earlier than expected. The price was more than reasonable given the type of dogs and coats. They look amazing and we got a full report of how they did. We are very grateful to the all about DOGue team and will be coming back regularly if they'll have us 🙏🏼haha
