I absolutely love Ahimsa and the training they provide. My puppy went to Puppy elementary, kindergarten, and puppy and teen playtimes. Though there were a few skills that were repeated, it was more building on the skill (like with distractions). Amber was wonderful and explained the skills, modeled them, and gave tips if there were struggles. Of course if one doesn't practice outside of class, they won't see as much progress especially with a skill the puppy struggles with (mine needed extra help to focus on me when distractions were present). We've continued to practice and my pup has grown so much. The puppy playtimes were also incredibly helpful as they help d me learn what appropriate play was, how to correctly pup if he was engaging in an inappropriate behavior, and learn my pup's cues for needing a break or space during play. Absolutely helpful and I wouldn't have known this had I chosen to social at a dog park without folks with expertise. Next we want to try a Nose works class for our pup. He gets so excited going to Ahimsa!

Ahimsa has been an absolute blessing for us! Puppy Kindergarten and Puppy Playtime taught us crucial training skills and taught our dog Phoebe how to be a good member of society. Phoebe loves attending daycare and boarding and we have peace of mind every time we go out of town because we know she is loved and cared for at Ahimsa!

We brought our puppy here for puppy kindergarten, elementary, and playtime. These gave her a great training foundation and the playtime was awesome for helping her learn how to play with other puppies and dogs. The staff here is amazing, they are attentive, kind, and have so much expertise. Highly recommend!

We brought our puppy, Boo, to Ahimsa when he was about 3 months old. He was full of puppy energy but very unsure around other dogs—he would bark whenever he saw one and wasn’t confident enough to play. The gentle, positive exposure he received through the Puppy Playtime, Puppy Kindergarten, and Puppy Day Training programs at Ahimsa made a huge difference. The staff did an amazing job helping him build confidence at his own pace. Now at 9 months old, Boo is calm, confident, and non-reactive around dogs, people, and new environments. We’re so grateful for the foundation Ahimsa helped create and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for positive, effective dog training!

The CGC class at Ahimsa was absolutely fantastic! The curriculum was very systematic and well-organized. I learned a great deal as a handler, and I can clearly see how much my Golden Retriever, Bori, has grown and improved. I especially want to express my huge thanks to instructors Amber and Katie. They were incredibly professional, kind, and supportive throughout the entire course. Highly recommended!
