I've been meaning to leave a review for a long time. First Jim is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The shop is a relaxing place, where I always feel like I'm leaving too fast or early. The general chat is inviting and inclusive to the whole shop weather you are waiting, cutting or getting cut. Please understand, this review is based after coming in the shop for the past 6 years - living in the Somerville area for over 10 years and having tried a multiple different barbershops which honestly disappointed, between bowl cuts to uneven side locks and fringe 😞 I don't want to name them - but tried everything from Supercuts (many locations in Boston area, I don't feel bad naming) all the way to the places with a warm towel cut razor with a massage at the end. Price never came into it for me, I didn't just try the cheapest options!!!. NONE COMPARED to this shop (they have a second location in Billerica which I anticipate is run in the same way with same vibes) Only suggestion I have is book online and get there early to have the chat, multiple barbers whom seem to specifically enjoy doing different things - check out their Instagram for your barber fit, BUT Jim is my personal pick. Best shop in Davis Sq area from my 5 years here. Been getting cut by Jim for the past 3 years and his consistency and attention to detail are top notch. Definitely worth a stop by

Jim and the entire crew over at 968 The Shop in Somerville are the best! Been going to Jim now for the past 5 years or so. Always fantastic cuts and the vibes in the shop are amazing as well. Great convos, super upbeat atmosphere - would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fresh cut and an overall great experience!

There are a number of barbershops around Davis Square, but over the past couple of years, 968 The Shop has become my favorite. The stylists are friendly and very easy to communicate with!

I've been going for ~3 years and settled on Jim as my go to barber. He does great work and is fun to talk to on a wide range of topics. Makes the haircut and beard trim go by super fast!
